The trainer behind the training.
Human first. Built to connect.
Facilitation isn't a skill you read about. It's one you build in the room, session by session, over years of figuring out what actually makes learning land.
WHO I AM
Shane mcgrath
I'm a facilitator, trainer, and learning design practitioner.
I work with independent facilitators, L&D functions, and independent facilitators who want their training to do something more than fill an afternoon.
My background is enterprise learning and development, I've facilitated rooms of 400+, built programmes for global organisations, and designed learning programmes and facilitation systems from the ground up.
I hold a Diploma in Executive Coaching from the Academy of Executive Coaches and a Professional Certificate in Instructional Design, because how people learn matters as much as what they learn.
I started TWS Training Ltd in 2020 and built Facilitation Alive as the brand for anyone who wants to train better, whether you're an independent facilitator, an internal L&D leader, or an organisation that needs its people to facilitate, present, or train with more impact.
What I am not: a motivational speaker, a theory-heavy academic, or someone interested in frameworks for the sake of frameworks. Everything I build connects to behaviour. And behaviour connects to outcomes.
